Coventry Round-Up, Wednesday 28th October: Lampard Sets the Tone as Sky Blues Prepare for Sunderland Test

All eyes are on Sunday's clash with Sunderland, and Frank Lampard has been keen to set expectations before the game, making a point of stressing exactly where the standards need to be at Coventry City (CoventryLive). CoventryLive report that the manager was clear on wanting that message understood by everyone at the club (CoventryLive).

Thoughts are also turning to selection, with CoventryLive's Andy Turner running the rule over who Lampard might pick against Sunderland (CoventryLive). The piece flags a big call in midfield along with the ongoing search for more goals as key talking points heading into the weekend (CoventryLive).

Away from the first-team picture, there's a nice insight into life behind the scenes at Ryton, with second-choice goalkeeper Dan Bentley discussing his role in the squad (CoventryLive). Bentley, Coventry's self-styled elder statesman between the sticks, talked about 'pushing Rushy' in training and using his Premier League experience to help out in the dressing room (CoventryLive).

Sunday's fixture also gets a mention from the Guardian, who have it down as one of the weekend's Championship fixtures to watch as Coventry take on Sunderland (The Guardian).
